Awarded by the State of Florida and recognized by the Department of Children and Families, Gold Seal Accreditation identifies the early childhood programs that go far beyond the minimum. It's a voluntary, rigorous certification process that evaluates every aspect of a childcare facility — from the quality of the learning environment and the qualifications of the teaching staff, to the curriculum, the safety protocols, and the overall experience of every child in the program.
To earn Gold Seal status, a facility must first achieve accreditation from one of a select group of nationally recognized early childhood education organizations.
